BACKGOUND： Mingwan School is an independent, non-profit private bilingual school that officially opened in 2025. Covering the full K-12 educational spectrum, the school aims to clearly differentiate its divisions—specifically, the school and the kindergarten—under a unified overall brand system at the visual level. IDEA： 1. Water Mingwan’s mission is “Nourished by Tradition, Innovating the Future”, symbolizing the intersection and fusion of Eastern and Western cultures. With "nourishment" and "innovation" as key themes, we are inspired by "water." Water nourishes all things and is the source of life, symbolizing renewal and infinite possibilities. Moreover, Mingwan is located near Dachan Bay, thriving by the water, and the blue color of water naturally becomes the primary color. 2. Convergence The “ming” (明) in Mingwan is a stream of light and warmth, while the "wan" (湾) is the connection between land and sea. The mission itself stands at the intersection of "Nourished by Tradition, Innovating the Future," blending Eastern and Western cultures. In this diverse educational environment, bilingual communication is ever-present, with six interdisciplinary fields and practices interweaving to drive innovation and development.Additionally, the confluence of water forms a bay, and the two are intricately connected.Based on this, we extracted the second keyword: “convergence”.“Convergence” serves as the core concept of our visual design, with overlapping and intersecting shapes and lines, where color changes occur at the points of intersection, emphasizing the idea of convergence. Furthermore, within the unified conceptual framework, we have created distinct visual expressions: the school's graphics are based on geometric shapes with a more stable style, while the kindergarten uses lines as the primary visual element, conveying a more lively and playful tone.
